MIRAMAR — A single shot echoed in a Publix parking lot Friday afternoon, as three men road rage brawl right outside the store on the 9900 block of Miramar Parkway.

"There are men at the entrance of a Publix and one of them has a weapon and just shot somebody else," said one 911 caller.

Police say it all started when the suspects parked in front of the Publix in the fire lane.

"The victim's vehicle tried to go around the vehicle and unfortunately there was some type of altercation. It appears that the suspect vehicle may have opened the door and struck the victim's vehicle," said Tania Ordaz with the Miramar Police Department.

Police say one of the two suspects threw something at the victim, then both men get out of the car and started beating the victim.

Watch as one of them pulls out a gun and fires a single shot near the victim's head.

"Yeah he's right in front of Publix — this guy is bleeding right now," said another 911 caller.

The victim heard on this 911 call, tells dispatchers what happened.

"The guy put the gun at my head and fired above my left ear. He shoved the gun right into my face into my nose and my eyes,"

The suspects took off in a silver Mercury Marauder.

"The ending here could've been very different; we could've potentially had the victim killed or an innocent bystander. It could've been a very different story," said Ordaz.

The victim had minor injuries.

Police say there was a third person in the backseat of the suspect's car, but that person wasn't involved in the fight.

If you recognize the attackers in the video, call Broward Crimestoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
