The crash was reported just after 4 a.m. in the westbound lanes at Baldwin Park Boulevard and involved several vehicles and a big rig.
Police were investigating a fatal hit-and-run in Baldwin Park Wednesday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the semi truck's driver was speeding from the northbound 605 into the eastbound 10 Freeway when it overturned and crashed into an SUV.
