Ticket To Ride? We Find The Most Ticketed Freeways In The Southland

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — To some people "the 10" is how many speeding tickets they've gotten in Los Angeles or how many miles you're sure you're doing under the speed limit....when you got rung up.

But it doesn't matter if the CHP says you were going too fast.

Doesn't it always seem like the CHP is out on the freeway when you're doing the speed limit and they're no where to be found when everyone around you is doing 90...!

We digress.

Reporter Jeff Nguyen went out and about Thursday evening and checked in from three of the most-ticketed spots in the Southland. And from each, he counted down the top ten of the biggest ticket traps.

The CHP, insists, there is no quote on any particular freeway.

Stop #1 in the KCAL 9 News at 8 p.m.
91 Freeway between Vermont Avenue and Susana Road in South L.A.
CHP handed out 3,461 tickets in 2010

Stop #2 in the KCAL 9 News at 9 p.m.
710 Freeway between Valley Boulevard and Whttier Boulevard in East L.A.
CHP handed out 6,404 tickets in 2010

Stop #3 in the KCAL 9 News at 10 p.m.
60 Freeway between 15 Freeway and 91 Freeway in Riverside
CHP handed out 7,918 here in 2010 (the most-ticketed freeway in the Southland!)
