LA QUINTA (CBS) — La Quinta Museum will go back to the time of the dinosaurs for the opening of its "Jurassic Encounter" exhibit.
The exhibit's opening reception will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday night and is open to all ages. The first 200 visitors will receive a dinosaur bone fragment.

The exhibit runs through July 31 and will also include an outdoor digging station to search for bones. Visitors will also get a chance to make crayon rubbings of fossils to take home, according to museum officials.
The museum, 77885 Avenida Montezuma, is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
