2 Women Caught On Camera Burglarizing Anaheim Church
ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) — A search was underway for two women caught on security cameras burglarzing a church in Orange County.
Pastor Vicki Rufsvold said she was delivering her sermon at 10:15 a.m. on Sunday when the thieves raided her office at Faith Lutheran Church of Anaheim.
"Forgiveness and love and those kinds of things," the pastor said. "So I was actually talking about that the very moment this was happening. Isn't that crazy?"
She said she went to get money for a homeless man when she found out her wallet, home and car keys as well as mobile phone were missing.
Rufsvold said everything stolen can be replaced except for the photos on her phone.
"My daughter died when she was 25 of brain cancer. I have pictures of her otherwise. But these are pictures that we took when we were up in Big Sur where we had scattered her ashes. And that's the only part that really hurts," she said.
The burglars also charged $1,000 on the pastor's credits cards at places including Target and Subway.
But none of that mattered to Rufsvold. It's the Samsung Galaxy phone that contained photos of her daughter that she wanted back.
The thieves are still on the loose.
