3-Ingredient Gourmet
No time to get to the grocery store? We'll show you how to feed your busy family a complete meal using only three-ingredient recipes! They're great for non-cooks and beginners!
Recipes
BARBECUED PORK PIZZA
1 cooked pizza crust, such as Boboli
1 tub cooked, shredded pork in BBQ sauce, such as Tony Roma
2 Cups shredded mozzarella
Top crust with pork then sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly. (Make it even better by sprinkling on ½ of a red onion, chopped, and some fresh cilantro before you top it all with cheese).
"FRIED" NEW POTATOES
8 to 10 new potatoes, quartered
¼ cup olive oil or cooking oil
1 package onion soup mix (try other flavored envelopes-Ranch, taco, etc.)
Place all ingredients in a large Zip-Loc bag. Close it and toss the ingredients thoroughly, to coat. Spread potatoes out on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 1 hour.
CAKE MIX COOKIES
1 package cake mix, any flavor
2 eggs
1/3 cup oil
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Remove 3 tablespoons from the cake mix and set aside. Add eggs and oil to cake mix and combine until smooth. If mix is too wet, add more dry mix. Drop in one inch balls on ungreased cookie sheet or baking pan. Bake 7 minutes.
MEAT LOAF
1 & ½ lbs. ground beef
1 package or box of seasoned stuffing mix
2 eggs
Mix all together, place in loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
EASY PASTA SALAD
1 lb. bow tie pasta, cooked
1 large jar 3-bean mixture, drained
½ Cup Italian salad dressing
Mix all together and chill.
BRAZILIAN TRUFFLES (BRIGADEIROS)
1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
4 tablespoons cocoa powder
3 tablespoons butter
Stir condensed milk with cocoa powder in a heavy pot over low heat for 10-15 minutes. Simmer it so it won't boil or burn. When mixture becomes very thick, shiny, and pulls away from bottom of pan, stir in butter. Chill 30 minutes. With buttered hands, roll the mixture into 1 inch balls. Roll each ball in nuts, coconut, or chocolate sprinkles, if desired, and place on waxed paper. Chill until ready to serve.
