Woman Found Dead Inside Her Arlington Home

ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM)- A woman in her 50's was found dead inside her home with apparent trauma to her body.

A suspect turned himself into police a short time after the body was found.

Police received a 911 call from a concerned relative who told them that the victim may be dead inside the home. The caller also told police the suspect was driving around town and threatening to kill himself.

Police arrived at the home on Roberts Circle and found the woman dead inside.

Officers later made contact with the suspect over the phone and convinced him to turn himself in at the nearest location.

The suspect met officers at the Blue Cypress Hotel in Arlington and was arrested without incident.

"At this point we don't really have a motive or cause of death," said Sgt. Christopher Cook, a public information officer for the Arlington Police Department.

The suspect's vehicle was also in police custody as detectives comb for more clues.

Both the victim and suspect are in their 50's but their names have been released.

The cause of death will be determined by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner.
