MANSFIELD, TX (CBSDFW.COM) -- A Facebook Live video of Mansfield Police Officer, Joe Alejandro cutting a rug on stage at the #AreWeRelated benefit concert in that city is going viral.

The concert was held Sunday, July 31 at The Lot in Mansfield. It was billed as a benefit to "help the families affected by the recent shooting in Dallas."

At one point during the concert, Alejandro and other officers went on stage and were having what appeared to be an impromptu dance contest of sorts. Shortly after the officers were dancing, they inviting children on stage as well.

A post on The Lot's web site said the concert had a duel purpose. "This benefit concert will serve not only to raise funds to support those families affected by the Dallas tragedy, but also to be a visible symbol of Mansfield coming together as one."

In a post on The Lot's Facebook page, Alejandro said, "I had a great time playing football with the kids, dancing and meeting a lot of great people." He said he hopes that they will continue having events like this where "we come together as a community."

The Lot in Mansfield is an outdoor performance venue that opened in that city this year. The venue hosts movies and music events, often at no charge.

The video had thousands of views already on Monday evening. See the entire video here:
