Two Grapevine Teenagers Dead In Suspected Narcotics Overdose
GRAPEVINE (CBSDFW.COM) - Two Grapevine teenagers were found dead on Saturday morning after ingesting illegal narcotics throughout the previous evening, according to Grapevine Police.
The two males have been identified as Kyle McNutt, 17, and Chase Nunez, 18. Both are residents of Grapevine and are students at Southlake Carroll High School.
The Grapevine Police and Fire Departments responded to 710 Heather Wood Dr. on Saturday morning at 8:50 a.m. in reference to a possible overdose. The two unresponsive males were located in a bedroom of the residence and were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police determined that a third man and resident of the home, 22-year-old Cullen William Marino, also used illegal narcotics. Marino was arrested at the scene on an unrelated warrant and transported to the Grapevine Police Department jail.
As the investigation deepened, Detectives learned that at some point during the night, Marino discovered McNutt and Nunez unresponsive, where if medical attention would have been summoned, both may have survived. Due to that fact, Marino was additionally charged with two counts of Criminally Negligent Homicide.
Detectives are continuing the investigation along with the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's office to determine the exact cause of death of both victims.
