DALLAS (CBS11) - Shards of glass littered Cedar Springs in Dallas after three gay bars were vandalized overnight

The popular bars – Woody's, Jr's Bar and Grill, and the Mining Company – were all hit.

Bar owners say surveillance video caught the culprit, a former customer, throwing rocks through their front doors just after four o'clock in the morning.

The man, they say, was one who'd been thrown out of all three bars and may have been seeking revenge.

"When you drink too much and you just can't hold your liquor and you're acting a little crazy, they'll kick you out," said Jimmy Jijjy.

The attacks don't appear to have any connection to recent assaults that have local residents on edge.

"It makes me feel better. The other things have been hate, well supposedly hate crimes. At least one of them for sure. So it's refreshing to hear that's not the issue this time," said Nick Tseng.

The businesses turned over their video to Dallas police who are now investigating this as a case of criminal mischief.
