Pair Of 14-Year-Olds Arrested In Fatal Stabbing Of Uber Eats Driver Ryan Munsie Graham
HURST, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) - Haltom City detectives arrested two 14-year-old boys in connection to the slaying of Ryan Munsie Graham, 31, at an apartment complex in the 4200 block of Northern Cross.
Both of them were taken into custody on Jan. 27.
Graham sustained a fatal stab wound to her neck during the attack. She was working as a delivery driver for Uber Eats when she was killed.
Haltom City police say that Graham was victim to an offense they call "random."
"It ended up being just a random thing where these two juveniles were out looking for somebody to rob and just ran into her," said Sgt. Eric Peters from the Haltom City Police Department.
Detectives say they found evidence that links the two 14-year-old boys to the case.
CBS 11 News caught up with the surveillance company for the property next door who says their cameras pointed at the scene and offered police video of the suspects.
"All of the cameras were fortunately up and recording then," said Offie Wiseman of the surveillance company. "We just so happened to have one exactly where it needed to be."
Detectives believe that robbery was the motive behind the murder but say the suspects didn't take much.
"The only thing that they took that we know of during the robbery was her cell phone," said Peters.
SWAT team members took the juveniles into custody without incident at an apartment complex in the 3600 block of Tanacross in Fort Worth. Her phone was then recovered in a nearby dumpster, where the suspects lived.
Both juveniles were transported to the Tarrant County Juvenile Justice Center in Fort Worth after their arrest. They face charges of capital murder.
Graham is survived by her husband and three children.
