Main Street Fort Worth Arts Fest is set for today through Sunday (4/14-17).

Tonight's (4/14) Cool Thursdays at the Dallas Arboretum features the music of Rocket Man…and Elton John tribute. Be sure to be at the Arboretum Saturday (4/16) for Earth Day at the Arboretum…and through the month of April for National Garden Month.

The Ennis Bluebonnet Trails Festival is tomorrow through Sunday (4/15-17) in Ennis. Ennis showcases over 40 miles of mapped driving Bluebonnet Trails sponsored by the Ennis Garden Club. These trails are the oldest such trails known in the state, and tens of thousands of visitors make the short trek to Ennis each year.

Blue Oyster Cult is playing Gas Monkey Live Friday April 15.

Listen up Chocolate lovers. This weekend is the 12th Annual Chocolate Fest at the Grapevine Convention Center (4/15-16).

Get some plants for your yard this weekend at the Spring Plant Sale at the Heard Natural Science Museum (4/15-17).

Saturday (4/16) it is the All Pro Dad, Father, Kid Experience at AT&T Stadium featuring Tony Romo. Saturday morning starts when you and your child experience the thrill of stepping onto the turf at AT&T Stadium. You'll spend the next few hours connecting with your kids – with plenty of fun and games plus some practical fatherhood tips you can take home and put into practice.

Eye of the Collector at the Perot Museum kicks off this Saturday (April 16) and runs through September 5. In Eye of the Collector, the quirky, crafty, historical and fashionable objects of nine very different people come together to show that the recollections they have of their prized possessions are at least as valuable as the collections themselves.

If you think you have what it takes in the kitchen, there is a Master Chef Season 8 Open Casting Call at the Sheraton Dallas Saturday (4/16). You MUST bring one prepared dish to be served to the food judges and you have to pre- register so check out their website for all the details.

Scarborough Renaissance Festival goes Celtic this Weekend. (4/16-17) The Shandon O'Regan School of Irish Dancers perform each day at 2:00 pm on the Whimsey Stage.  Each day will also include Celtic special events such as the Bonnie Knees Contest at 11:00 am, Tug O'War at 3:00 pm and the Scottish Egg Eating contest at 4:00 pm. Go ahead. Step back in time to the 16th Century days of King Henry VIII. 23 stages of extraordinary non-stop entertainment, full combat jousting, Birds of Prey exhibitions, the Grande Parade, Renaissance rides, games of skills, plus mermaids, knighting ceremonies, a human chess match, over 150 costumed performers and so much more!

Prepare for daring grooves of original jazz with The Singapore Slingers at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, April 16, at the Allen Public Library. It is a free event.

What could be cuter than a child getting their best (stuffed) friend repaired by some of the region's most thoughtful doctors and nurses? This weekend at Keller Town Hall, during the two-day Keller Fest (4/15-16) , Legacy ER & Urgent Care's doctors, nurses and support staff will be providing much needed medical services to stuffed animals who have been hurt or damaged while serving in the most important role of kiddo companion. Children who come emptyhanded will be gifted a teddy bear (with a cast) and instructions for care. This is part of a family health awareness campaign spearheaded by the North Texas-based health care clinic.

The Generation Axe tour rolls in to the Bomb Factory this Sunday (4/17). If you love guitar, this is for you. It features 4 of the ultimate guitar gods…Zakk Wylde, Nuno Bettencourt, Yngwie Malmsteen and Steve Vai.

Listen up Duranees. The guys who had us wearing Panama hats and white jazz shoes back in 1984 are hitting the AAC Tuesday night (4/19). It is the one and only Duran Duran.
