Darren Marcel Hanson Charged With Capital Murder After Allegedly Killing 82-Year-Old Man In Dallas

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - An 82-year-old Dallas man is dead after what police initially thought was a robbery on Sunday, January 30.

At about 1:05 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a robbery call at 2800 Gould Street. The victim, Charles Edward Tillery, 82, was found on the ground in the street with his face covered in blood.

Dallas Fire-Rescue transported the victim to an area hospital, where he later died from homicidal violence.

Police later identified Darren Marcel Hanson, 32, as the suspect. He has been charged with Capital Murder. A magistrate will set his bond.
