NORTH TEXAS (CBS 11 NEWS) - Today is National Grilled Cheese Day and Norma's Café is giving them away for free today.  There are two Norma's locations in Dallas -- one at 17721 N. Dallas Parkway and the other at 1123 W. Davis Street.

The free grill cheese offer is for dine in and is limited to one per customer, but no other purchase is necessary. They are also selling three new types of sandwiches, for a limited time. In honor of National Grilled Cheese Day you can purchase Florentine, Santa Fe or even Chicken Fried Steak Grilled Cheese.

Nashville recording artist Karen Waldrup will be performing in Dallas Friday night. You may have seen her on Bravo or the Country Network but tonight you can see her at Mercy Wine Bar in Addison.

Mercy has been named "Best Wine Bar" in the country and is a great place to sit back relax and listen to music.  Karen starts performing at 9 p.m. on April 12.

Bands will battle it out tonight in Watauga.  It's the 28th Annual Wild West Watauga Fest.  Tim Urban, American Idol finalist 2010, will be the celebrity judge for the evening.  On Saturday, April 13, the festival opens at 10 a.m. with a carnival, vendors and live music all day.  Admission and parking are free.
