Impounded in 1979, Lake Fork has a surface area of 27,690 acres at normal pool. Lake Fork's reputation as Texas' BIG BASS factory is very well deserved. More trophy-sized bass are caught here than any other lake in the country. Lake Fork is home to the current Texas state record bass which stands at 18.18 pounds and was caught in January 1992. Lake Fork was also home to the previous state record of 17.67 pounds which was caught in November 1986. Lake Fork dominates the Texas Top 50 Big Bass List with 34 entries. Lake Fork has many large feeder creeks that feed the main body of water. Lake Fork Creek, Garrett Creek, Elm Creek and Birch Creek are amongst the larger creeks on the northwest end of Lake Fork. Glade Creek, Running Creek, Coffee Creek and Long Branch are few of the creeks that make up the upper end of Lake Fork's east arm. Little Caney is the large creek in the middle that runs north and south and separates Lake Fork's two arms. Other popular creeks are Penson, White Oak, Wolf, Mustang, Little Mustang, Williams, Rogers, Bell and Chaney Creek. All of these creeks offer very good habit that holds fish year around, but they are particularly good during the spring and fall. Most of them have a combination of submerged vegetation and timber that makes them prime areas for holding BIG Lake Fork bass. Lake Fork is also home to some of the best deep structure you will find anywhere. Schools of big Lake Fork bass will group up on deep road beds, humps, points, ledges and pond dams all year long, but these are particularly good areas to target in the summer and late fall. I would be more than happy to be your guide and show you how and where to catch the trophy bass that Lake Fork has to offer. Feel free to give me a call or send me an email if you'd like more information on booking a guided trip.

Lake Fork truly is a fisherman's paradise. I am blessed to live on this beautiful trophy bass fishery. If you are planning a bass fishing trip on this lake, I encourage you to give me the opportunity to show you an enjoyable fishing experience. Lake Fork is well known for producing giant bass. I have had the pleasure of seeing many happy anglers catch the biggest bass of their lives. I hope we can do the same! If allowed the privilege of being your Lake Fork guide, I will do my best to meet your expectations for the day. I cater to a wide variety of fishermen from around the country. Anglers of all ages and skill levels are welcome! While many customers just want to catch bass and have a good time, I also offer instructional trips regarding seasonal fishing patterns, deep water, specific techniques and how to interpret sonar. I specialize in Lowrance electronics and use HDS units in my 2015 Skeeter FX21.
