Baylor Facilities Going Sugar-Free & Health Conscious

NORTH TEXAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Last year Baylor Health Care System made the decision to remove sugary drinks and fatty food from cafeterias and vending machines. Today those changes are evident at many Baylor locations and looming at others.

The change means dozens of Baylor facilities across North Texas are transitioning toward a healthier in-house menu.

Sugary drinks are being replaced with water, juice and diet sodas.

Vending machines will no longer carry "biggie size" items or selections with high sugar content. Instead, customers can expect to see more baked potato chips and whole grain items.

Baylor hospital Café's began transitioning to a healthier menu back in July.
