A moment of silence observed at the exact time Rose made his final call into dispatch calling for backup before being fatally shot.

Rose was posthumously awarded a citation for valor -- as well as being given a promotion to Sergeant.

Wayne State President Roy Wilson telling the crowd of over 400 that the community is grieving. "We ask that all of you continue to support our police officers, because they were all, each and every one of them, brothers and sisters to Collin."

The University also plans on endowing a scholarship in his memory. A public visitation is planned for Wednesday at Ford Field in Detroit and the family funeral will be held at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in St. Clare Shores on Thursday.
