Pistons Report: Roster
--F/C Greg Monroe bounced back from three single-digit games by scoring 13 points against Indiana Wednesday. Monroe has averaged just four rebounds in the last four games, so the All-Star break is coming at a good time for the rookie. The heavy minutes are wearing him down.
"He's played almost two seasons in a short period of time," head coach John Kuester said, comparing Monroe's NBA minutes to playing college ball. "It does get to you. He says it hasn't, but that's OK. I still like his energy."
--F Tayshaun Prince continued his hot shooting this season by going 11-for-16 from the field against the Pacers. He is averaging 48 percent from the field, compared to 46.3 for his career entering the season. But Prince is more concerned about the team's record.
"It's been a frustrating year for everybody," he said. "I understand some of the guys' frustrations because throughout the year, Coach has been doing a lot of lineup changes, trying to see what's going to work."
--G Ben Gordon bounced back from a five-point outing against Atlanta by scoring 16 against the Pacers. Gordon strayed away from the three-pointer line and instead moved into the mid-range area, while also occasionally attacking the basket. He took 14 shots but only one beyond the arc. Gordon is averaging 13.8 points since returning to a reserve role four games ago.
MEDICAL WATCH
--F Jonas Jerebko (partial Achilles' tendon tear, right leg) underwent surgery on Oct. 8 after crashing to the floor while driving to the basket during the opening preseason game. He is expected to return sometime after the All-Star break.
--G Terrico White (fractured fifth metatarsal, right foot) was injured during the Pistons' preseason opener and also underwent surgery Oct. 8. He is doing basketball drills but has yet to practice with the team.
--G Richard Hamilton (groin) has not played the last six games.
