Paul's TV Inside Art Van Furniture Goes Green

WARREN -- More than 100 million new televisions are sold in the United States each year. So what happens to all those old TVs? They are generally moved to another room in the house, stored, donated, or more often, discarded.

To assist and encourage guests to recycle, Paul's TV inside Art Van Furniture offers a recycling program that allows guests an opportunity to receive up to $500 towards the purchase of a new TV.

"The question of what to do with an old TV usually doesn't come up until the new TV gets delivered," comments Nikki Woods, regional marketing manager for Paul's TV of Michigan. "We want to remove that dilemma from the equation. We'll deliver your new TV, haul away the old one and properly recycle the old TV."

Proper recycling is essential. Electronic equipment contains toxins that can be dangerous to the environment. Paul's TV recycling program gives guests a chance to go green by helping to safely dispose of health and environmental hazards.

The recycling program runs June 7 through June 18. Guests that make a qualifying TV purchase can receive up to $500 towards the purchase of a new TV from Paul's TV. Free delivery and free haul away are a part of the recycling program.

Paul's TV, founded 46 years ago in La Habra, Calif., is now also a department inside the stores of Warren-based Art Van Furniture.
