Michigan Beats Boston College 4-2
DETROIT (AP) — Luke Glendening had a goal and an assist and goalie Shawn Hunwick made 23 saves to lead Michigan over third-ranked Boston College 4-2 on Thursday in the Great Lake Invitational tournament.
The Wolverines (10-8-3) will try to defend its tournament title on Friday against Michigan State. Michigan has won the tournament 14 times.
Boston College (12-7) will play Michigan Tech for third place.
Glendening assisted on the game-winning goal by A.J. Treais at 15:39 of the second period. He added an insurance goal into an empty net with 14 seconds left.
David Wohlberg and Luke Moffatt gave Michigan a 2-0 lead, but the Eagles tied it on goals by Tommy Cross and Paul Carey.
Brian Billett had 26 saves for Boston College.
