Lions' LB Julian Peterson Now Valuable, Not Expendable
At the end of last season, it seemed uncertain whether linebacker Julian Peterson would return to the Lions. He was a Pro Bowl alternate. But he was going to turn 32 in July, and he was due a $7.5-million salary.
"It depends on what they want to do," Peterson said Dec. 30. "Nothing is written in stone, as you can tell. I'm comfortable here, but it's whatever the staff wants to do."
