Fire crews on scene of blaze at vacant church in Detroit, one injury reported
Dozens of Detroit Fire Department crews were on scene early Monday morning for a vacant church that was on fire Avenue in Detroit.
Crews were called at 4:52 a.m. to the building on Grand River Avenue, near Ohio Street, Detroit Fire Department reported. Firefighters were on scene 4 minutes and 2 seconds after the 911 call, and by 6:50 a.m. the fire was under control.
One person has been injured as a result of the fire. He was in a building adjacent to the church. Detroit Fire Department said the man had burns and smoke inhalation injuries, and was taken to Detroit Receiving Hospital.
