Obama Signs New Law To Help Ski Areas On National Forestland
DENVER (CBS4) - President Obama on Monday signed a new law to help ski areas on national forestland expand their summertime activities.
Until now skiing and snowboarding have been the only activities allowed. Now the Forest Service can give ski areas permits for activities, including mountain biking, concerts and ropes courses.
Colorado Sen. Mark Udall sponsored the bill. He said it will spur economic development in mountain towns during the slower months.
