Deaf Dogs Get Their Day In Wheat Ridge
WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. (CBS4) - Just because a dog can't hear doesn't mean he or she can't be a great pet. That was message Sunday at the 12th annual Colorado Deaf Dog Play Day.
Hard-of-hearing dogs got to meet other pets just like them at Best Friends Pet Care in Wheat Ridge. Their owners talk to them through sign language.
Organizers say too often deaf animals are euthanized or abused.
