Broncos AFC Champion Hats, T-Shirts Roll Off The Presses
DENVER (CBS4) - The Broncos are headed to the Super Bowl, and the demand for team apparel is skyrocketing in Colorado.
Shops that print up officially licensed NFL T-shirts and hats like KSE Imprints in Denver are now working overtime to try to meet the heavy demand for clothes bearing the various Broncos Conference Champions looks.
On Sunday night KSE was manufacturing T-shirts of a rate of about one shirt every 2 minutes.
Blue Grimes, an employee at KSE, said his printing company has been in business for 11 years and this is the first time they've taken on a Broncos contract.
"We're huge Broncos fans. And it's so exciting to be part of this," Grimes said.
Grimes and his crew were expecting to work until early Monday morning printing thousands of shirts.
"On Tuesday we set it up and got a sample approved and then got everything ready to go on Thursday," Grimes said. "Then we watched the game here today. When the game was clinched by the Broncos then we got the green light to go ahead and start printing."
During the final part of the printing process the shirts are "cooked" at 365 degrees.
To make sure apparel your are shopping for is officially licensed by the NFL, look for the holographic sticker that appears on each item.
