Chicago Bears veterans report to Halas Hall on Tuesday ahead of the first training camp practice under new head coach Ben Johnson a day later.
DJ Moore and his Moore2Life Foundation teamed up with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago at Bartlett J. McCartin Club in Bridgeport to hand out backpacks filled with school supplies donated by Cradles to Crayons to 120 kids.
During a cruise on Sunday, Urlacher, who played linebacker for the Bears from 2000 to 2012, will share some stories from the glory days of the NFC Championship run.
Some of the fans who received the email have long histories with the team, and there are a lot of concerns.
A handful of Bears players have been doing Pilates — and have found that like in any sport, practice makes perfect. But it's a workout that pays off.
"I do think we've seen him get better in really all facets," Johnson said of the second-year quarterback's progress in spring practices.
The Bears have one more week of organized team activities next week.
The Bears safety missed the final 11 games last season because of his concussion.
Kmet said Coach Johnson reassured him where he stood in the team's eyes.
