HILLSIDE (CBS) -- A woman was killed in what was likely an accidental shooting at a hotel Sunday morning in west suburban Hillside, police said.

Officers responded to the Best Western Hillside Hotel, at 4400 Frontage Road, to assist a woman with a gunshot wound.

The woman, identified as 51-year-old Carrie Waller, of the 2500 block of Hansford Place in Cincinnati, Ohio, was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:15 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

An autopsy was scheduled for Monday.

The shooting appeared to be an accidental discharge and was not being investigated as a homicide.

The woman had been a guest at the hotel.
