One Person Injured In Shooting On Dan Ryan Expressway At 71st Street
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A shooting on the Dan Ryan Expressway during the Thursday afternoon rush left one person injured, and also caused a traffic nightmare.
Someone fired shots at a silver Dodge sport-utility vehicle in the outbound lanes near 71st Street.
The back window of the driver's side was left shattered and the car was riddled with bullets.
A man in the vehicle was taken to an area hospital and is expected to be recover. Two others in the SUV were not hurt.
A section of the Dan Ryan was blocked off while Illinois State Police investigated and collected evidence.
