A couple decades ago, a Harvard Business School grad, Lee Allison, snagged a job in Chicago for the big ad agency in town, The Leo Burnett Company. Allison wanted to create something of her own after writing copy for McDonald's and 7-Up, among others. So, neckties it was! To put a finer point on it, his ties "are cut on a perfect bias (a 45-degree angle), slip-stitched by hand, and double bar-tacked.
