Young Man Drowns Overnight In Framingham Pond
FRAMINGHAM (CBS) – A young man drowned at a closed beach in Framingham early Friday morning.
Police were on patrol at Learneds Pond around 2 a.m. when they found three women on the beach and three men in the water.
The women ran into the woods and the men started to swim across the pond.
"One made it across. We understand that one of the males, as he was trying to make it across, he said to his friend, 'I can't swim across.' So, the two tried to make it back to this shore. One of them went under, one of them made it back," Dep. Police Chief Craig Davis told reporters.
