Woman's Body Found In Jamaica Plain

JAMAICA PLAIN (CBS) -- A woman's body was found behind a house in Jamaica Plain Tuesday morning.

Boston police say the woman appears to have been in her mid-30s and suffered a head trauma.

Her body was found behind 21 Kenney Street at 7:45 a.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

WBZ-TV's Peg Rusconi reports.

Daniel Fox lives next door, and said that all of the residents from his building are accounted for.

"We didn't hear anything. Nothing. Our bedroom's in the front. I actually sleep with the window open," said Fox.

Neighbors said that a lot of people pass through the area near where the body was found as a shortcut to a nearby bus stop.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.

Police are asking anyone who may have information call them at 617-343-4470. Anonymous tips can be called into the CrimeStoppers Hotline at 1-800-494-TIPS or by texting 'TIP' to CRIME (27463).
