Weather Causing Worse-Than-Usual Allergy Season
BOSTON (CBS) --- If you suffer from allergies, it's not your imagination - this season is bad.
Allergy Immunologist Dr. Karen HSU Blatman from Brigham and Women's Hospital says she's seeing a lot of patients complaining about the grass, tree pollen and mold that are colliding together this year because of the weather.

"I recommend when people come into the home, they take a shower," Dr. Blatman said noting pollen can get stuck in hair and on clothing.
While allergy sufferers have long relied on over-the-counter medications or allergy shots, Dr. Blatman said a new medication delivers the same medication administered through an allergy shot, orally. The only problem is, that pill must be taken four months in advance of allergy season.
