Cars with veterans license plates can now park for free in Salem
SALEM - Salem is saying thank you to America's heroes by letting veterans park for free in the city.
Starting July 5, any car with a veterans license plate can park for free in Salem. The new guidelines apply to all city street meters and lots with a kiosk.
The only exception is parking garages and time restrictions still apply.
