Vandals smash up an elementary school in Lynn

When a janitor opened up the Callahan Elemenatry School in Lynn Monday morning he was shocked to see all kinds of broken windows, glass on the pavement...and that was just the outside.

The superintendent says the damage was the worst he's seen in a long time.
He says they went to every part of the building causing damage: discharged fire extinquishes, emptied out boxes, took pictures off the walls and even damaged murals done by students.
There are 500 children in grades K-5 who go to this scool.
The school year starts the Wednesday after Labor Day and despite this extensive damage, the principal says they will be cleaned up to open in time.
