Trooper Recovers Loaded Gun During Boston Traffic Stop
BOSTON (CBS) - A Mattapan man is facing gun charges after a traffic stop by State Police.
A Trooper pulled over Jamil Campbell, 39, Saturday afternoon on Heath Street in Boston for failing to stop at a stop sign.
Officials say they found a loaded 9 mm handgun and a box of ammo in the car.
Campbell also had an active warrant for Failure to Appear for Jury Duty.
He's charged with unlawful possession of a firearm without a license, carrying a firearm with ammunition, possession of ammunition without a FID card
He was also cited for failure to stop at a stop sign and use motor vehicle without authority. Troopers say Campbell's name was not registered on the rental car that he was driving.
