Thornton Game-Time Decision For Bruins
BOSTON (CBS) -- The Bruins could be without tough guy Shawn Thornton on Wednesday, as coach Claude Julien explained the winger was battling an illness and will be a game-time decision.
Thornton has played in all 57 games for Boston this year, potting four goals and adding seven assists on the team's fourth line.
He's also racked up a team-leading 122 penalty minutes. Five of those PIMs came Sunday in Minnesota, when he engaged in a heavyweight bout with Matt Kassian. According to the website hockeyfights.com, it was Thornton's 16th fight of the year, second in the NHL only to Zenon Konopka's 17.
If Thornton is unable to play, Josh Hennessy and Carter Camper will both be in the lineup, with Hennessy in Thornton's spot on the fourth line.
