The Parent Report: The Name Game

BOSTON (CBS) - It's always a tough choice for new parents...what to name their newborn child.

Well, Shirley is not on the list of the top baby names in Massachusetts according to Social Security application data but the top 10 girls' names that are on the list have a rather Mediterranean flair. Number one is Isabella, followed by Sophia, Olivia, and Ava…then we get more traditional with  Emma, Abigail, Emily Ella Mia and Madison rounding out the top 10.

On the boy's side, Ryan is number one...that name's been on top for three years...then Benjamin...and then...

Well, William actually.

Anthony comes in at number 10...Nick is popular too, at number 22.

Other top boy's names are Jacob, Michael, Matthew, James, Alex and Andrew. Good luck naming.
