A new ten-foot aluminum steeple was placed atop St. Bernard Church by a crane, just in time for the daily 9 a.m. mass.
High winds caused the old steeple on the 200-year-old church to tilt back in February, so it was removed.
Pastor Michael Racine said the entire town has been waiting for this day.
"It's been a landmark. People have been asking for the last nine months, 'When is it coming, when's it coming?' It takes time, patience pays off," he told WBZ NewsRadio 1030.
