BOSTON (CBS) - State Police say they are interviewing a 'person of interest' in their search for the driver who struck a trooper Tuesday.

The man's name was not released. He is from Fitchburg and in his 20's. Investigators say he took a taxi to the barracks.
McGovern said the man had first-hand knowledge about the incident.
He was brought to another State Police facility Thursday afternoon for more interviews. He is not under arrest.
WBZ-TV's Jim Armstrong reports.
Trooper Joseph Drane was pulling over speeders Tuesday morning on the Expressway, just before the Ted Williams Tunnel, when he was hit by a car.
It's a black two-door sedan with a light colored interior. It looks like a Honda Civic, built in the late 1990's, but police are not sure if it is a Civic.
Investigators are going over surveillance video taken from cameras in the area.
They're asking anyone who may have been there at the time to give them a call at 508-820-2121.
Drane is recovering from serious leg injuries. He had surgery Wednesday afternoon with his family at his side.
