Special Olympics 2013 Summer Games Kick Off In Boston
BOSTON (CBS) — Special Olympics Massachusetts kicked off its 2013 Summer Games in Boston this weekend.
A couple thousand athletes with intellectual disabilities are competing in events that include track and field, weightlifting, swimming, gymnastics and tennis.

The competition at the Harvard Athletic Complex is going on through Sunday.
Saturday's events included a parade of law-enforcement officials from all over the state.
Founded in 1968 by Eunice Kennedy Shriver, the Special Olympics movement includes more than 3 million athletes across the world.
