Somerville Police Officer Hospitalized After Motorcycle Crash
SOMERVILLE (CBS) – A Somerville police officer was hospitalized on Monday morning after he was involved in a crash while driving a police motorcycle.
Somerville police said Robert Hickey, a traffic officer, collided with a 1995 Honda Odyssey at the intersection of Medford and Pearl Streets.
The van was driven by a Malden man.
Hickey, a 20-year veteran of the Somerville Police Department, was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
