Sales Tax Holiday Underway In Massachusetts
BOSTON (CBS) - Shoppers across the Bay State packed stores beginning Saturday, as the Sales-Tax Holiday weekend was underway.
Over the two days, the 6.25% tax on items $2,500 or less will be waived.

The state stands to lose about $20 million in tax revenue, but the program will be an obvious boost for retail sales in the state.
The sales tax will be waived until stores close on Sunday night.
