Report: Theo Compensation Could Be Settled This Week
BOSTON (CBS) -- The ongoing negotiations between the Cubs and Red Sox regarding the compensation for general manager Theo Epstein has dragged on for more than three months, but an end could be in sight.
According to CBSSports' Jon Heyman, the two teams have submitted their briefs and a decision could be made this week.
The negotiation was thought to be close to being completed in October, but the two sides couldn't reach any agreement. The decision now rests with commissioner Bud Selig.
Epstein joined the Cubs in October, despite having one year left on his contract with the Red Sox.
