Report: Cubs Make List, Business As Usual For Red Sox
BOSTON (CBS) -The Chicago Cubs have made a list of players they are willing to part ways with in order to get Theo Epstein in their front office, according to an ESPN report.
It is not known how the list was made up, but Cubs chairman Tom Ricketts turned over a list of players to his three top baseball people to evaluate. Interim general manager Randy Bush, director of player personnel Oneri Fleita and scouting director Tim Wilken were to report back to Ricketts which player or players they would be comfortable with trading, according to ESPN's sources.
While it is not believe the Red Sox would get any major league compensation for Epstein, they will likely receive a prospect or two, with possibly some cash mixed in to the deal.
