Rays Sweep The Sox
The Rays trounced the Red Sox 8-2 in the annual Patriot's Day game at Fenway Park. The win completes a four game sweep for Tampa. B.J. Upton hit a three-run home run as part of a five-run third inning and Jason Bartlett went 3-for-5 with an RBI and was a home run short of the cycle. Rays starter Jeff Neimann allowed two runs on five hits. John Lackey lasted just three-and-a-third innings in his first loss of the year. He allowed eight earned runs on nine hits. Jeremy Hermida had a two-run home run in the 7th . The Sox are now 4-9 on the year, which is their worst start since 1996.
