Quiet Stretch...
After getting pounded for two days by the Nor'easter, the storm is finally starting to push away out into the Atlantic. As it departs, rain showers will be drying up, the wind will slacken and the pounding surf will subside. Late tonight, the sky will start to clear from west to east...this will allow temps to drop to or below freezing in some towns and with all the slop and moisture on the ground, icy spots may develop early tomorrow morning...please watch your footing.
Friday will bring a return to sunshine with a somewhat gusty downsloping wind. Temps will climb to around 50 degrees but the wind will make it feel chilly at times.
Over the weekend clouds will be on the increase on Saturday as warmer air returns aloft. The sun will be limited in the afternoon and temps will once again straddle 50 as we'll still be on the cooler side of a warmfront. That front will slide through early Sunday morning, setting up a great day...increasing sunshine and warmth...highs will reach the lower 60s!
That warmth will spill into next week as well with high pressure centered to our south, warm SW winds will shoot temps close to 70 in spots on Monday. A slow moving coldfront will pass though Tuesday with an extended period of rain and cooler air for the second half of next week. All indications are that the atmosphere will stay in a mild phase leading up to Thanksgiving so we will see more above average temperature days through most of the rest of November.
