Police Investigating Shooting Death Of New Bedford Man
BOSTON (CBS/AP) — Authorities are investigating the death of a 24-year-old man who was shot dead in New Bedford Thursday night.
The Bristol County District Attorney's Office said the victim, Aaron Gant Jr., was shot on Grinnell Street near the intersection to Pleasant Street around 7:10p.m.
He was transported by private vehicle to St. Luke's Hospital, and was pronounced dead a short time later.
The death is being investigated as a homicide. New Bedford Police, Massachusetts State Police detectives and Homicide Unit prosecutors are investigating.
