Pedroia Named AL Player Of The Month
BOSTON (CBS) – Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia has been voted the American League Player of the Month for July.
Pedroia batted .411 (46-for-112) with nine doubles, one triple, eight home runs, 22 RBI and 27 runs scored in 26 games during July.
The Red Sox finished with a 20-6 record in July.
Pedroia has 15 home runs this season, just two shy of his career best. It is the first time he has won the honor.
Adrian Gonzalez was named American League Player Of The Month for June.
