Route 1 North In Peabody Shut Down After Car Crash
PEABODY (CBS) -- Part of Route 1 in Peabody was shut down Monday afternoon. Massachusetts State Police responded to a two-car crash on the northbound side around 2 p.m. The highway has since reopened.
State Police said there were serious injuries. One driver was med-flighted to Tufts Medical Center. The Other driver and two passengers were taken to Beverly Hospital by ambulance.
It's unclear what caused the crash. It appears one car had extensive front end damage.
