Patriots Preseason Opponents Announced
BOSTON (CBS) - The New England Patriots 2011 preseason opponents were announced Tuesday, which includes a nationally televised game against the Detroit Lions on August 27th on CBS.
The Patriots will open the preseason at Gillette Stadium against the Jacksonville Jaguars between August 11-15, the same weekend of the Patriots annual alumni reunion.

The Pats then hit the road for two straight games, first playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers between August 18-22 followed by the matchup with the Lions.

The Patriots will close the preseason against New York Giants the seventh straight year. The game will be played at Gillette on September 1 or 2.
The exact dates and times for the three unknown games will be announced at a later date.
All four of the Patriots' preseason games will be televised in the Boston market on WBZ-TV.
